What’s On for the Socceroos vs Turkey
LIVE on the Internal Screens 📺
We’re broadcasting the Socceroos vs Turkey with full sound on the screens inside the PPH pub level. Internal only (no TVs out the front), so head in and post up where you can hear every pass, every save, and every Socceroos moment. Stadium atmosphere without the stadium prices, right here on Darlinghurst Road.
Green and Gold All Day 🇦🇺
Sydney is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, and Potts Point Hotel welcomes supporters of every country at this World Cup. But when the Socceroos play, the pub leans hard into green and gold. Wear your Australia jersey, your supporter scarf, or anything in the right colours. Turkey fans welcome and respected, but Sydney is the Socceroos’ home turf, and you’ll be in good company.
Book a Table Near the Screens 🪑
Walk-ins are welcome, but we strongly recommend booking a table for the Socceroos. Bookings lock in a seat with a clear view of an internal screen, which matters because Socceroos World Cup matches pack the pub out fast. Group bookings are no problem: tell us how many and we’ll sort it. Hit the Reserve a Table button at the bottom of the page.
Full Bistro Menu Throughout the Match 🍔
Our full menu runs throughout the match, including our slow smoked meats, burgers, salads, and share plates. Plus craft beers, cocktails, and cold drinks on tap. No need to eat before you arrive.
Stick Around After Full Time 🎉
Win, lose or draw, we’ll be there at full time. Stay on for another round, grab a meal, or head upstairs to Sweethearts Terazza (Wed to Sun) to keep it going. Socceroos nights are a good one.
Socceroos vs Turkey: World Cup 2026 Group D, Matchday 1
This is the Socceroos’ Group D opener at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Australia taking on Turkey in their first match of the tournament. Group D also features USA and Paraguay, with the top two finishers plus the best third-placed sides advancing to the Round of 32. First games matter: in a 48-team format, a strong start would give the Socceroos breathing room for the rest of the group.
The match is being played at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada. Sydney kick-off is 2:00 PM AEST on Sunday 14 June 2026, which makes this an early afternoon kick-off in Australia. If you can’t make it to North America, the pub will be the next best thing.
Why Watch the Socceroos at Potts Point Hotel?
Potts Point Hotel is one of Sydney’s best live sport pubs and a proud Aussie pub. We’re near Surry Hills, Darlinghurst, Kings Cross, and right in the heart of Potts Point. Four levels of pub to enjoy before and after kick-off, plus multiple internal screens, great sound, and the kind of atmosphere you only get when a packed Sydney pub roars the Socceroos through ninety minutes.
Sydney is home to supporters of every country competing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and we welcome every one of them. But we won’t pretend otherwise: when Australia plays, the pub backs the Socceroos. Three minutes from Kings Cross Station, walk-ins welcome, table bookings strongly recommended for Socceroos matches.
