Potts Point Hotel | Urban Cocktail Trail

One building, four venues to enjoy. From relaxed rooftop brunches to classic pub fare, live gigs, and late-night nightclub beats, Potts Point Hotel is your all-day, all-level local in the heart of Kings Cross.

About Us

Welcome to Potts Point Hotel, your neighbourhood destination for great food, cold drinks and unforgettable moments in the heart of Sydney. Situated in a heritage-listed building originally constructed in 1956–1957 as a Westpac Bank, our venue has seen the rise, fall and rebirth of Kings Cross — and proudly continues to evolve with it.

Four Venues, One Iconic Address

Whether it’s classic pub energy in PPH, brunch on the rooftop, enjoying a live performance in Level One, letting loose in our nightclub or hosting your event across our 4 levels – Choose your vibe and we’ll make it happen.

In the early 2000s, the building transformed into the Sugarmill Hotel, a staple of Kings Cross nightlife during its late-night heyday. In 2016, the venue rebranded as Potts Point Hotel — embracing the next chapter of the Cross with a refreshed identity, an updated fit-out, and a shift from all-night parties to an all-day experience centred around quality food, drinks, and connection.

Great Food & Drinks

Our kitchen serves elevated pub favourites with a modern twist — from loaded schnitzels and burgers to fresh share plates. Behind the bar, you’ll find curated cocktails, a rotating list of local craft beers, and wines from some of Australia’s most-loved producers.

Live Sports & Events

Every level has its own personality, but the same welcoming vibe. Catch the game on our big screens or enjoy a Sunday session with live acoustic music in PPH. Then, join us upstairs for DJs, or one of our many rotating events.

Potts Point Hotel

Part of the Kings Cross Story

The Cross has always been a place of change — and this building has seen it all. From a post-war bank to a peak-party-era pub, to today’s laid-back but lively Potts Point Hotel, our doors have stayed open through it all. We’re proud to be part of the past, present, and future of this iconic Sydney precinct.
